- I'm using Partner SP-550 Touch Computer (POS PC) with EC-410 Cash drawer. There is a RJ-11 port in POS machine. It is labeled as cash drawer. I connect my Cash drawer to PC using that RJ-11 port.
- Mar 17, 2009 The cash drawer I am speaking about requires an RS-232 serial port, so yes, it does need the 5V signaling. That signal is what trips the cash drawer's solenoid thereby allowing it to open.

SelectCash Drawer Rig Now you will see Cash drawer #1(2 Pins) and Cash Drawer #2 (5 Pins) If you only have 1 cash drawer, use drawer #1 Each drawer has these options:
